The principal of JD Wordsmith is Jane DeTullio, MA English. For a decade, Jane served as a full-time instructor in the English department of Monmouth University and as director of the University's Writing Center. In her eight years as director, Jane trained tutors to work with writers of all levels and disciplines and is well versed in MLA and APA styles of documentation. Jane also assisted students with crafting personal essays for their graduate school applications.
Privately, Jane writes articles for local publications and edits clients' theses and dissertations, business plans, executive reports, curricula vitae, resumés, and proposal memoranda. She also assists high school and college-level students with their personal essays for post-secondary school entrance applications.
Jane was formerly a member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at CentraState Medical Center, located in Freehold, NJ and a member of the Alumni Relations Board of Directors at Seton Hall University, in South Orange, NJ. She is also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), the Certified Professional Writers Association (CPWA) and Publishing and Editing Professionals and, as such, is guided by the standards, pricing, and practices of these professional associations.
